Our Legacy of Preservation

Committed to Film Heritage

The Babcock Movie Theater Preservation Society embodies a commitment to honor and preserve the rich tradition of cinema.
We believe that historic theaters are not just buildings; they are cultural landmarks that foster community and creativity.
Through our efforts, we aim to inspire current and future generations to appreciate the art of film.

Our Mission: To inspire creativity, strengthen community, and honor local heritage in Wellsville, NY and all of Allegany County.

Our Vision: Through a restored and revitalized Babcock Theatre, we will contribute to a thriving Main Street in Wellsville and a             culturally vibrant Allegany County. By keeping creativity at the heart of community life, we will ensure the theater is a pillar of culture and connection for all generations.
